Questions Or Concerns

Once you’ve decided we’re the right band for you, you can rest assured that your entertainment is in good hands. We’ll be in touch around 3 weeks before the big day to finalise the details, timings, song choices and any other queries you may have. In the run up to your event, you’ll have a dedicated event coordinator from our agency Alive Network who will be more than happy to liaise with you on any issues, questions or concerns.

What We'll Do At Your Wedding

Arrival, Set Up and Sound Check

Our normal arrival time is around 6pm; this comes as standard, however, an earlier arrival can be booked through our agent. We aim to set up and sound check as quickly and discreetly as possible so that you and your guests are not disturbed. While we recommend a brief sound check (involving the band playing at full volume for a short time), it is not essential - we can make do without if you need quiet. We will have spoken to the venue manager before hand to arrange parking/getting in and out to ensure that everything runs as smoothly as possible on the day.

After The Sound Check

After the sound check (and time permitting) we would ideally like a room to prepare for the gig/get changed/eat. This will be prearranged with yourself and the venue.

1st Dance & 1st Live Set

We can play the first dance whenever you like, we generally recommend that you have it at the beginning of set 1, however this is by no means set in stone. We understand that most weddings run late, this is not usually a problem, we can adapt our set times on the day if necessary. We will have rehearsed your requested song in advance to ensure that everything is perfect for your special day.

Usually we follow the first dance immediately with our first live set as everyone is already gathered around the dance floor. This is however, entirely at your discretion. We are happy to start whenever is convenient. The first set lasts about an hour, after which we will take a break, leaving some party music playing over the PA (or bring on the DJ, if booked).

2nd Live Set & End Of The Night

Ideally we take a break between sets of 40 minutes to an hour – however, in our experience most weddings run behind schedule. In this case we make up time by cutting back our break and starting set 2 earlier. The set lasts another hour (though often runs slightly longer with encores). After the set we normally leave some music on for around 15 minutes to allow things to ‘wind down’ (alternately if you’ve booked DJ, this is an ideal time for his second hour).
